Update on "moral budget"

Greetings, friends. I had the honor of protesting what I believe is an unwise and immoral budget federal proposal with my friends from Call to Renewal & Sojourners on December 14, 2005. I was one of about 115 to be arrested as part of the peaceful protest with civil disobedience. As Jim Wallis poignantly put it, our country seems to be turning the words of Mary (from Luke 1:53) upside-down: we seem to believe in a God who "has filled the rich with good things and sends the poor away empty."
