I like what you say about consumerism..

I have appreciated reading your books and wrestling with some of the ideas you are throwing out there...

I recently drove down to Seattle from Bellingham, WA and heard you speak at Greenlake Community Church. One thing that got me excited during that talk was how you called the church out to stand up against consumerism. That is where my heart is—helping the church to recognize the patterns of consumerism they are in and enabling them to say no. I wanted to thank you for saying that and encourage you to keep at it. What you are doing is appreciated.

Answer: Thanks! Of course, it’s much easier to talk about consumerism than it is to get free of it; its influence is so pervasive.
