Thank you for this gentle rebuke. I am sorry if an air of moral superiority comes through in what I’ve written. I don’t even know you, so please be assured I wasn’t impugning your motives. I agree with you: many good people support President Bush and his policies. I never said otherwise, and if I implied so, I hope I can correct that error here. I’m sure you’d agree – when it comes to motives, all of us are a mixed bag. Those in power probably need to be especially careful in this regard, since they have the power to do more damage when their mixed motives are at play. If Kerry wins the election (which at this moment seems unlikely), we’ll need to pray, discern, and when necessary, speak prophetically to his administration no less than to our current administration.
