Scolding Others

I have read all your books now, except for Finding Faith (which I do have, just haven't read it yet). I really love everything i have read. It has actually made me more calm on dealing with other religions and even denominations. But i have noticed that I tend to scold those in my sector. I find myself saying "the church does this" or "we should do this instead. The church has it wrong" Now I know that it is not something I got from your books. but I was wondering your take on that. What I can do to stop from doing it? How to guard myself in the future to not sound so condemning?

I’m so glad you’re concerned about this. The last thing we need is a bitter spirit – or to try to fight judgmentalism with judgmentalism. Here’s a suggestion. Throughout my Christian life, I have meditated on I Corinthians 13 and Romans 12. These two chapters highlight attitudes that I think help us fight fire with water, so to speak. The pursuit of love is at the core of our journey, I’m sure you’ll agree. Don’t give up in that pursuit!
