Can We Visit You?

I was raised in a very fundamentalist home … to be a good Christian boy who didn’t’ smoke, drink, swear, or associate with “heathens” outside my church. After high school, I went to a Bible school – a bastion of fundamentalism. Their systematic theologies and trite witnessing tools weren’t cutting it for me. A friend gave me your books, which have really helped me. Can we come down some time and visit you for a weekend?

I wish I could say yes to all the many requests I receive like this! I do all I can to be available to people, but I often have to say no because of my many spheres of relationships – with my family, my congregation and the staff team I’m part of, my work with emergent, my neighbors, etc.

Can I suggest you look at my travel schedule and try to attend one of the events where I’ll be speaking? That way, we could meet personally at a setting where I’m intentionally available, without taking time away from other people at home who have priority in my life.

Or you might want to visit Cedar Ridge when I’m speaking, or attend one of our special events at the church (www.crcc.org), such as a BreakOut Saturday. Thanks for understanding.
